A magazine written, designed, edited and published by people under 24 to inspire political motivation.
About this project
According to statistics the political motivation of "young people" is lower than every other age bracket. This gives us a bad reputation, and is also inaccurate - young people are most likely to turn up to protests as well as set up and sign petitions. Scuffle is about challenging the idea of apathy and giving young people a voice to express issues they feel are important. We have 18 features in total written by people under 24 from across the UK (as well as two from abroad). These features range from the struggle of growing up to issues surrounding homosexuality in Russia, densely packed with opinions, facts and pleas, Scuffle is a small fight against a traditional political elite.
Risks and challenges
We have an editing team of only two. With both of us in our last year of school, Scuffle is concentrated on in our (very little) spare time. Having said this we do have the original of the magazine completed, and now just need funding for printing and going online.
